About the Firm
Brooklyn Personal Injury Lawyers
Arze & Mollica, LLP is established as an outstanding and aggressive law firm out of Brooklyn, N.Y, with attorneys that provide high-quality legal services in the field of personal injury law. The law firm was started by two attorneys from Manhattan law firms who decided to bring that type of top-notch quality legal representation to their Brooklyn office. Over the years, the firm has served clients who have suffered severe injuries due to medical negligence, defective products, construction accidents, automobile accidents, and injuries at work. We have also provided representation and counseling in insurance coverage disputes, worker's compensation cases, and business litigation.
We are fully sensitive to the needs of our clientele, and we are always ready and able to assist clients in any way possible. We are noted for achieving the highest recovery possible for our clients in personal injury matters. Our office does not take a high volume of cases in order to personally be involved in each case that is accepted by our firm.
Our office is conveniently located at 35 Avenue U Brooklyn, New York, and is easily accessible via the N train, D train, and local bus routes. We also have a satellite office, by appointment only, located at 39 Broadway, 9th Floor, New York, New York.
Personal Injury Litigation
Arze & Mollica concentrates its practice on cases involving catastrophic injury or death resulting from car accidents, construction accidents, medical negligence, defective products, and premises incidents.
We have successfully obtained numerous large recoveries for clients in personal injury cases.
Due to our extensive knowledge and rich litigation experience in the field of personal injury, we have established an excellent reputation in the legal community in the Brooklyn and Greater New York areas.
Representing Injured Persons
We strive to represent our clients professionally, individually, and personally. Our lawyers keep our clients informed of the progress of their cases. You can speak with a lawyer if you call. If he or she is unavailable, your call will promptly be returned. Attorneys who refer cases to us are kept fully informed.
We put the time and money necessary into the full preparation of a case, but at the same time, we try to avoid unnecessary expenses. We do not charge secretarial or overtime expenses to the clients. We work on the contingent fee system, which is explained below.
We have found that we can achieve the best settlements for our clients by not trying to work with the insurance company on a claim basis. Rather, generally we place your case into a suit and prepare it on for trial. We have found that the best settlement arises when your case is coming up for a trial, and it has been fully prepared. The insurance company or defendant can then see that you have the proof necessary to win and can see the exposure presented. We are also not hesitant about going to trial if that is the best course, which we believe to be a better result than any settlement which has been offered. On the other hand, we do not try cases that should be settled just to add to our reputation since that practice puts the client at risk of losing everything.
Fees & Investigation
Almost all law firms who practice personal injury, including ours, handle personal injury cases on a "contingent fee" basis, meaning that we only get paid at the end of the case (in the form of either a settlement or a verdict). We get a percentage of your recovery, normally one-third. If our office does not obtain a recovery for you, you are not liable for the expenses our firm expends on your case. For example, if we investigate your case and then decide we are unable to continue with your representation, or if we proceed to trial on your case and lose, you do not owe us for our time.
Our firm also routinely advances expenses incurred in the preparation and trial of a case. In most instances, we do not ask for a deposit of money to cover expenses. If there is a successful outcome, we deduct the expenses off the top of the recovery and apply the percentages to the net sum. (In that way, we share part of the expenses).
Some of the procedures our office undergoes when deciding whether to represent an individual includes:
Our office has personnel who are fluent in both Spanish and Russian. Additionally, our office has, on many occasions, obtained the services of an interpreter to better communicate with a client who has difficulty communicating in English.
